“We have 100 percent of the machines distributed in each of state,” CNE President Elvis Amoroso said, adding that foreign observers considered the Venezuelan electoral system “perfect and totally secure.”

Among those observers are representatives from the U.S.-based Carter Center, the Council of Electoral Experts of Latin America, and the United Nations Panel of Experts.

Amoroso also confirmed that representatives from each political party have been present during the audit processes of the electronic voting system, verifying “everything from the codes to the software.”

The text reads, “This is how Nueva Esparta was in the countdown to the end of the political campaign. It was the last visit of President Nicolas Maduro before the elections.”

Presidential candidates will be able to campaign until July 25. After Thursday, they must observe an electoral silence. So far, the 10 presidential candidates have been holding events across the country.

Over the weekend, for instance, President Nicolas Maduro visited the states of Monagas, Anzoategui, Apure, and Barinas. The Bolivarian leader and the Great Patriotic Pole will close their campaign on Thursday in Caracas, where the Bolivarian leftist forces will hold a massive rally.

On Sunday, the Vice Minister of Anti-Blockade Policies, William Castillo, denounced that the Venezuelan far-right opposition is mounting a “gigantic disinformation operation” for July 28. Through social media, they intend to spread narratives aimed at delegitimizing the Venezuelan electoral process.

“We are going into a communication battle against the transnational media outlets and social networks. Get active. For the truth of Venezuela!” he wrote, calling the far-right activists “info-mercenaries” serving the United States.
